Dead Man Path
Author Note: this is about how when you choose one thing you can think that it is good but it tuns bad for you.
So what happen in the story Dead Man Path is that a new headmaster came into the school. His name was Chinua Achebe and he want to change everything about the school. Like that me want the school to look the best that it could be. He and his wife went and got flowers and other things and put them all around the school to make it look the best it could. So one day Chinua Achebe saw some person one a path that went through the school yard. He got very mad at it and said that he was going to close the path which he did. A couple of day later the village leader came and told Chinua Achebe that he should let people go through. Because it was the only path that went straight throw the village and were the village people burial place. And he still did not open for him so the next day when they got back to the school all the flowers and other things were killed.
So what a main problems in the book dead man path is that the headmasters didn’t let the people go through the path because it went straight through the school yard. Some of things that happen are that the flowers beds were killed and part of the school was torn down. Also that day the school boards came and check it out and saw that it was not such a great school and the headmaster didn’t have a job any more. Why this happen is all because he didn’t let the villager use that path and they got mad and did all that to the school. All he had to do is just let them go through the school yard but he thought that it was bad for the school. And for that all the bad things happen to him.
What I thought he should have done is to just let them just go through the school yard. Why I think that they should do that is because nothing would happen to him. But all the things happen to him because he wants the school to be the best that it could.

Johnny Tremain Vs Ponyboy Curtis
Johnny Tremain vs. Ponyboy
Author note: This is about how Johnny Tremain and Ponyboy are the same and how they are different.
In a lot of books there are characters that are the same but they are in different books. Like in the book Outsiders by S.E Hinton and the book Johnny Tremain by Esther Forbes. Which the main charter in those books are Ponyboy from the Outsiders and Johnny from the Book Johnny Tremain. There is many reasons how Ponyboy and Johnny are the same. Such as they’re both great hard workers and will work at it until they get it right. A reason why they are different is that he Johnny has to take care of himself and his family but Ponyboy does not have to take care of many people but he has to take care of himself. Make sure that he does not get himself in trouble and might hurt people or himself. There are a lot more than just that how Johnny Tremain and Ponyboy Curtis are same and how they are different.
To begin with there are many other books out there and they are much alike that have the same characters, but l pick the books Johnny Tremain and The Outsiders. Which are Ponyboy from the Outsiders and Johnny from the book Johnny Tremain. Like in the Outsiders with Ponyboy and his friend Johnny goes into a fire to save some kids which were on a field trip. When Johnny and Ponyboy got all the kids out on the way out Johnny goy hurt very bad and had to go. At the hospital the doctors did the best that they can but Johnny died. So Ponyboy gets really mad because he thought that it was his fraught that he killed Johnny his best friend
In the book Johnny Tremain Step mom has a baby and she does not care about him The two books that I’m comparing the two characters from are The Outsiders and the main charters is Ponyboy and the other book is Johnny Tremain and the main charter is Johnny Tremain. What happen in each book is that in the Outsiders is that there is two part of two and one is the socs and the rich people and greasers in the other part and the poor part. Ponyboy is part of the greasers and his parents died in a car crash and he just has his two brothers. And in the book Johnny tremain Johnny has to work as a silversmith and when the war happens the guy that he is working for has to go to the war when it is over he has to go and find him. He goes to place to place finds out that he is dead.
Other reasons why they are like is that they alike are that they both have a hard life and will do anything to change and they do the best that they can with it. Like in the outsiders Ponyboy friends dies and he does the best and deal with it. And in the book Johnny has a little sister is very sick and his step mom does not care about it and he tries his best to make his little sister to make it better. How they are different is that they is that Ponyboy is in a gang with his friends and family and Johnny are not and lives with by himself but he is close to his family.
There are many books that have main charters that are the same but are in totally different books. Also there are books that are about the same thing but the main charters are totally different. So that why reading books so good.

Cause and Effect
Author Note: this is about cause and effect and how it can change a person point of view and how it can change the book.
Johnny Tremain, by Esther Forbes is about a young boy that is trying to become a great silversmith and goldsmith. But he is caught up by John Adams and James Otis and their work. Also with the work of there things.
What happen in the book is that the main character is a teenager and is trying to become a great silversmith and goldsmith. So one day he hears that some people are going to broad a birth ship and throw all the tea on broad it to the ocean because they don’t want to play the tax. And he asks if he could help him with it and they tell him that he could. So that night he goes out and does it and from his point of view he thinks that he did a good job and he is helping people.
How cause and effect can change a book is byis that the red coast and how they thought that putting the tax on tea will we make people happy. Because they are getting money from something that they don’t they need to put it on. Also why they put that tax on tea is because a lot of people and they like to drink it. So that how they came out with the idea of putting the tax on tea. And the people that are ready living there thought that it was a bad idea. And that why they board the ship and throw all the tea in the ocean. The red coast thought that they just bi something very bad and the colonist thought that they just did a great thing. How that effect my book is that the main charter is a colonist and does not care about the tax. So he was one of the people that went on the red coast ship and throw some of the tea of board.

Author note: This piece is about point of view and how it can change a book.
Point of view plays a big role in a lot of books like how one person can look at one thing and the other person can it I a different way. Like in real life when they did the Boston tea party and the people that did it thought that they did a great job and good thing and the British thought. That they people that did it didn’t care and just throw all the tea in the ocean. Why I bring this up is because this happens in the book that I’m reading for social studies.

Family in the Outsiders
Author note: this piece is about the theme definition of family
Have you ever read the book the Outsiders because it is a great book but also it teachers how a family does not always have to be your parents but your friends Like how Ponyboy does not have his mom or dad because they died in a car crash but his family is his brother and the greasers. Because they will take care of him when he gets hurt or something happens to him. In the outsiders there is much examples of the theme of definition of family.
One of the examples is the Curtis family what happen in his family is that Ponyboy Sodapop and dally both of other parents die in a car crash. And know Sodapop and Dally have to work all the time so they can take care of their self and be able to have money so they can buy things that they need to they can live.
So in the Book the Outsiders there are characters that there mom and dad do not care about them that much such as Johnny. Like when Johnny got hurt and he had to go to the hospital because he broke his back and is in bad shape. When his mom came and sees if she could do in anything for him and he told her not to come because he thought that she was just going to yell at him because he got himself hurt for doing something good to save my lives. Also an other thing is that when Ponyboy parents die in a car crash and them his brother had to take care of him and make sure that he is taken care of because there is on one else to take care of Ponyboy. The greasers also are family to each other because much of their family is broken up because they live in the bad part of the town.
The definition of family does not always mean like a mother or a farther and a brother or a sister. A family is someone or many people that care about and make sure that you are ok and safe. Some examples of that are in the book Outsides and some in this paper to but many more in the book. And that why I think that you should read this book

Outsiders
The book Outsiders by S.E Hinton is about to gangs that live on the other side of the town that they live in. One of the gangs is the socials or the socs. And they like to beat up the other gang and their name is the greasers and they live in bad part of the town and many people think that they are very bad and mean.
What I think is going to happen in the story is that there will be a big fight between the two gangs. What I think is going to happen is that one of the main charters will die and it will affect ponyboy life a lot. Also I think that cherry will try her best and bring the two gangs together and that will also change ponyboy life to.
